Camhanach, the debut album by Mackenzie, was released at the end of 1997 on the Skye-based Gaelic label, Macmeanmna. A collection of traditional and self-penned songs, the album was recorded and mixed by Ged Grimes at his studio, Jack's Hoose in Dundee and features guest musicians of the highest calibre.

Among these are Blair Douglas, Ged Grimes, Fred Morrison, Patsy Seddon, Mary MacMaster, John Martin, Arthur Cormack, Christopher Marra, Wendy Weatherby, Eilidh Shaw, Rory Campbell and Michael Marra, who also produced Camhanach.

 

Fama Clamosa

Their second album, Fama Clamosa (Latin for "Whispering Rumours") was released in October 2002 again by the record label, Macmeanmna. Having worked with Calum Malcolm on the Linn compilation "Notes from a Hebridean Island" in 2000, the band were delighted when he agreed to produce the new album. The guest musicians are Billy Jackson, James Mackintosh, Brian Ó hEadhra, Mairi Campbell and Calum Malcolm himself. The artwork is again by David Hutchison providing an eyecatching link with the first album.
